Designing a Guitar Body

This 3-page resource, made available by the STEM Guitar Project, is an activity on guitar body design. During the activity students design a wooden guitar body with Vcarve Pro CAD software. The activity was designed as a capstone project "for second and third year students already familiar with CAD and CAM." The learning objectives for this activity are:
- Students will be able to investigate and explore guitar body style option on Google.
- Students will be able to sketch a few options.
- Students will be able to create CAD vectors starting with a DXF file of the electronics and pockets of the guitar.
- Students will be able to create CAM tool paths to program our Shopbot CNC to cut out guitar bodies.
