This video case study assignment, provided by the GeoTech Center, is the first case study from module eight of the Python and Geospatial Mapping course, titled More Python. The course is designed for experienced users of Global Information Systems (GIS) platforms who are new to programming, with the goal of teaching them how to use Python to automate processes through the construction of short scripts in ArcGIS Pro.

In this case study, learners are tasked with creating a new feature class file using a single Python script in an integrated development environment (IDE). The file should have two fields and five rows, and learners may use a projection from another file. Vince DiNoto, director of the GeoTech Center, provides additional context around the tools learners will need to complete the assignment. Full instructions can be found in the More Python module.

The video runs 1:47 minutes in length. Additional resources from the Python and Geospatial Mapping course are available to view separately.
