This case study explores Biofab Explorer, which is a tool developed by the Center for Applied Special Technology (CAST) in collaboration with the Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute (ARMI). Biofab Explorer is an open educational resource with multimedia learning modules that examines "the potential large-scale impact of biofabrication technology on chronic diseases as well as individual patient experiences with life-changing medical treatments made possible by bioprinted tissues." Educators, guidance counselors, and students can use the tool for career guidance and exploration. Biofab's accessibility features, which include alternative text, captioning, and text to speech options, are highlighted. Biofabrication career profiles, teacher guides, and independent study options are also explored.
