SMART Maritime Technologies Pathway

These two documents from the Southeast Maritime and Transportation (SMART) Center outline the Maritime Technologies pathway at Tidewater Community College. The first document, Maritime Technologies Pathway - Overview and Courses, is a 6-page outline of the college's A.A.S. degree in Maritime Technologies as well as the college's four stackable Career Studies Certificates in Marine Electrical, Marine Mechanical, Maritime Technologies, and Maritime Welding. This overview includes a short description of the pathway and related career opportunities as well as a list of courses for the A.A.S. degree and for each of the four certificates. The second document, SMART Maritime Technologies Pathway, provides a diagram of the courses required for each of the four certificates as well as the A.A.S. degree. As this diagram illustrates, these certificate programs are stackable and "can be applied toward additional certificates or the A.A.S. Maritime Technologies degree."
