This collection includes three slide decks that accompanied three different presentations by the Southeast Maritime and Transportation (SMART) Center.

The first slide deck, Scaling Registered Apprenticeship Pathways for Sustained Impact, accompanied a presentation given by four presenters at a National Career Pathways Network (NCPN) Conference held on October 6-7, 2016. These four presenters were Brad Mason, Co- PI of the SMART Center; Kipp Snow, Instructional Specialist of the Transportation, Logistics, and Cargo Security Program at Anne Arundel Community College; Guy St. John, Apprentice Program Manager at Oceaneering; and Alan Walker, Apprenticeship Subject Matter Expert. This presentation provided information about registered apprenticeships. 

The second slide deck, 2013 SMART Maritime Institute, was presented by Barbara Murray, director and principle investigator of SMART. This presentation provides information about career pathways in maritime technologies, the services and opportunities that the SMART Center provides for teachers, and about the SMART Maritime Teacher Institutes. 

The third slide deck, NSF ATE PI Conference - Creating Effective Partnerships for Long-Term Sustainability, was also presented by Barbara Murray. Panelists for this presentation were Brad Mason, Chair of the SMART Maritime Technologies Consortium and Director of Maintenance, Modernization, and Technical Services at AMSEC LLC; Monica Pfarr, PI of the National Center for Welding Education and Training (Weld-Ed); and Kipp Snow, Instructional Specialist of the Transportation, Logistics, and Cargo Security Program at Anne Arundel Community College. This presentation addresses topics including SMART partnerships and a SMART industry focus group regarding maritime welding.
