Introduction to Alternative and Renewable Energy: Energy Efficiency: Buildings

These presentation slides are intended for use in a college-level introductory course in alternative and renewable energy. These slides cover energy efficient buildings and their technologies. A breakdown of energy consumption by sector is included as well as the major concerns for residential and commercial building energy use. Heat transfer, Energy Star qualifications, building envelopes, insulation, high performance windows, and tight construction and ducts are covered.
