A Program Review event is required for students accepted into the program but before the official orientation. By talking to current students, instructors, and advisors, there won't be surprises when classes start.
After reviewing current curriculum, employers were asked to rank key technical and professional skills being taught, to identify additional important skills, and to list training they currently provide. The results were summarized by the EPD Instructors and discussed with the Advisory Committee. It was determined that the current curriculum meets industry needs.

Qualified line technicians install, maintain, and operate the complex network of power lines and cables that supply electric energy to residential, commercial, and industrial customers. Electrical Power Distribution prepares students with classroom and hands-on training in all phases of powerline construction and maintenance. Students work in a diverse work environment in all weather conditions and must be comfortable at heights.
