A series of geospatial workshops were delivered by expert instructors at the BCC Geospatial Center of the CUNY CREST Institute's state of the art Geospatial Computing Center. These workshops exposed, enthused and trained participants from underserved communities and resource poor institutions in concepts and applications of geospatial technology. The participants began as novices but have now fundamental and practical knowledge of geospatial technology.

Geospatial Workshops are held in the state of the art geospatial center (BCC Geospatial Center of the CUNY Crest Institute ) Monday to Thursday , and expose and enthuse students in applications of geospatial technology. These workshops were taught by expert instructors and assisted by knowledgeable graduate assistants whom assisted every step of the participants workshop journey. At the end of the workshops students prepared presentations based on topics of which they learnt throughout and spoke in detail about these topics. Students began as novices, and have no gained fundamental skills in which they can apply to their academic careers.
Summer Workforce Internship Program
This program is designed for students with previous experience in geospatial technology and is intended to build on students’ geospatial workforce skills and assist with interning with a Geospatial company.
This program is designed to improve the educators’ disciplinary capabilities, teaching skills, and understanding of geospatial technologies, which will enable them to learn fundamental geospatial skills and integrate those skills into their classroom lessons.
