This video, from the National Cybersecurity Training and Education (NCyTE) Center, provides information on developing cybersecurity clinics. In a cybersecurity clinic, students are trained in cybersecurity and are partnered with organizations that lack the resources to have robust information security programs. Students identify cybersecurity risks, make recommendations, and sometimes implement improvements to the cybersecurity defenses of client organizations. During the presentation, Francesca Lockhart from the University of Texas introduces the concept of cybersecurity clinics and walks through each step in starting one. Topics include the fundamental elements of starting a clinic, best practices in deciding on and structuring clinic curriculum, clinic funding, recruiting students and clients for a clinic, and using metrics around student learning and client impact to demonstrate clinic success.

This video runs 1:02:45 minutes in length.
