ATE Impacts: Forsyth Technical College

This video, from Internet Scout Research Group, features Annette Parker and is intended to accompany the 2024-2025 ATE (Advanced Technological Education) Impacts book. This book showcases the important role that two-year community and technical colleges play in building the skilled technical workforce and provide evidence of the United States' critical economic need for technician education. The accompanying videos created in collaboration with Vox Television share the experiences of ATE alumni (students, administrators, educators, and industry partners) and the profound impact of ATE initiatives on their lives and careers. Jennifer Coulombe, a vice president specializing in industry partnerships at Forsyth Tech, discusses work-based learning and how, along with tailoring programs to workforce needs, it can create relationships between students and employers. Luke Burnett, CEO of KaraNetics, provides an industry perspective on academic-industrial partnerships. Also featured are testimonials from faculty and a program alumnus hired by KaraNetics.
