This webinar recording from the Center for Renewable Energy Advanced Technological Education Resource Center (CREATE) features a presentation from Deb Hall, who describes a hands-on STEM outreach project designed to engage and introduce middle school aged students to Building Automated Systems Technology related degrees or certificate programs. The project is aimed at recruiting women into technology industries, particularly energy management. The project employs a Barbie doll house to engage middle school aged students. Hall describes the different technological components of the doll house, including thermistors that can be read with a digital multimeter, and other components.
