This video, from the 2021 Esri Education Summit, provides two presentations that explore the role of location intelligence in solving business problems. Viewers learn how GIS is used in both research and instructional settings to improve decisions and meet the demand for entrepreneurs and strategists. In the first presentation, Perry Beaumont from Columbia University talks about the economic consequences of climate disruptions and how machine learning and geospatial analysis can address these issues. Beaumont highlights Esri software. In the second presentation, Avijit Sarkar from the University of Redlands explores the spatialization of a business curriculum at the university. Spatial business transformation, the spatial business workforce, the intersection between business and GIS knowledge, an MBA in location analytics, and a graduate certificate and undergraduate curriculum in the same area are highlighted.

The video recording runs 47:01 minutes in length. Additional videos from the summit are available to view separately.
