Get Creative!

This video, from the 2021 Esri Education Summit, provides three presentations on "creative strategies to help educators leverage the power of GIS in unusual settings." In the first presentation, Hok Him "Aaron" Liu provides information on the use of GIS and StoryMap for K-12 geography education in Hong Kong local schools. Liu explores the IPAD model, VR, curriculum development, 3D modeling, and more. In the second presentation, Kate Popejoy explores social uses of ArcGIS in online teaching. Popejoy highlights the project, curriculum-aligned geo-spatially integrated instruction, examples of social uses of ArcGIS, and takeaways. In the last presentation, Brett Dascombe describes the use of spatial technology to improve student outcomes at Wavell State High School. ArcGIS, StoryMaps, curriculum, competitions, and more are explored.
