Metadata Module

This module is provided by GeoTech Center and introduces concepts related to metadata and geospatial data. Module contents include a video recording, a PowerPoint presentation, and a quiz that reviews the content presented in the module.

The Concept Module Video is a recorded PowerPoint presentation provided by educator Ann Johnson, who introduces the topic of metadata and its application in geospatial data. The module provides definitions for metadata, related acronyms, and the standards that govern geosptial metadata creation and maintenance. Other topics in this presentation include national and international metadata standards (including ISO and FGDC), unstructured versus structured data, and geospatial metadata concerns. The video recording runs 14:01 minutes in length.

The quiz contains seven questions that review the material covered in the module video. The quiz includes multiple choice and true/false questions.
