This webinar, from the Center for Renewable Energy Advanced Technological Education Resource Center (CREATE), discusses renewable energy programs at nine educational institutions in Germany. The presenters traveled to Germany to study renewable energy and energy storage developments there to gain knowledge for the development of new programs at community colleges in the United States. Topics covered include background information on Germany as well as renewable energy uses and storage in Germany in 2017. The transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources in Germany is referred to as Energiewende and consists of three "pillars"; Renewable Energy Sources, Energy Efficiency, and Flexibility and Future Grid Network. The presentation concludes with renewable energy use and storage at the specific locations the group visited, including historical information about each location.

This webinar was held December 6, 2019 with Presenters Joel Shoemaker, Scott Liddicoat, Jenny Brinker, and Gabrielle Temple. The video runs 38:47 minutes in length and includes a PDF of the presentation slides.
