Metrology of Optical Systems
This 178-page textbook, developed by the National Center for Optics and Photonics Education (OP-TEC), is intended for use in an introductory course on precision optics fabrication and photonics. This textbook could also be used for programs designed for retraining or updating the skills of engineering technicians. The following three modules are included: Optical System Parameters and Performance Metrics, Non-Interferometric Measurement of Optical Performance, and Using Interferometry to Measure Precision Optics. Each module includes a table of contents, objectives, basic concepts, problem exercises and questions, laboratories, and more.
Supplemental textbook materials are included in the MOS-Figures-and-Images.zip attachment. This attachment includes three PDF and three PowerPoint files of the figures and images in the textbook.
