Introduction to Sensors (Part 2 of 2)
This video, provided by Columbia Gorge Community College, is the second part of a two part lecture that gives a brief introduction to sensors or transducers. The lecture examines "various methods of transduction for pressure, rotational speed, fluid velocity, flow rate, position (linear variable differential transformers (LVDT) and magnetorestrictive wave guides), level, vibration, and temperature." Additional topics include transfer functions, the process of adjusting the zero and span of a sensor, and how sensors are employed in closed loop controllers. This video runs 19:58 minutes in length. The first part of the lecture is available to view separately.
