BILT Best Practices
This 2-page resource, provided by the Centers Collaborative for Technical Assistance (CCTA), is a Business and Industry Leadership Team (BILT) best practices guide. CCTA offers a series of National Science Foundation Advanced Technology Education best practice guides. CCTA comprises five NSF ATE centers. CCTA was formed "in response to a Department of Labor request for technical assistance services to recipients of Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training grants."
This guide provides information on why and how to build at BILT. "A Business and Industry Leadership Team (BILT) is a group of technology-savvy employers who work in partnership with educators to co-lead a technical education program." The guide includes the following sections are included: Why Build a BILT And How To Build It; Best Practices For Starting A BILT; and BILTs Identify Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Of Entry-Level Technicians.
