Teaching the Internet of Things Has Just Become Far More Interesting

This slide deck, provided by the National Convergence Technology Center (CTC), was presented by Brian Nelson from Lansing Community College and Bill Saichek from Orange Coast College at the 2017 HI-TEC conference. Lansing and OCC are both member schools of the CTC's Convergence College Network (CCN) community of practice. These slides discuss the value of integrating IoT (Internet of Things) concepts into current IT classrooms, the challenges in teaching those concepts, the current state of the IoT industry, and practical suggestions for including IoT elements in traditional IT curriculum.
