Sample Industry and College Campus Tour Timeline and Activities

These resources, provided by Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC), include information about NWTC manufacturing industry tours. To get students interested in manufacturing careers, NWTC typically has high school students visit two local manufacturing companies and then the Green Bay NWTC campus. Resources include a 5-page activity and an example tour schedule. The sample schedule shows the tour schedules for four different high schools on two different days. The welding and math activity is titled Hands-On Welding and Math Activity for High School Tours. High school students interested in manufacturing careers can participate in this hands-on welding activity when touring the college campus. High school students pair up with a college student during a welding class to complete this activity.
