Beyond Satisfaction and Short-Term Self-Reports: Evaluating the Impact of Your ATE Grant
This 1-page resource, provided by EvaluATE: Evaluation Resource Center for Advanced Technological Education, was a handout given at a session at the 2012 ATE PI Conference. In this session, participants discussed current evaluation practices and brainstormed alternative strategies for evaluating the impact of ATE initiatives. This resource lists session questions and online resources. Session questions include: what are you project's (or the one you are evaluating) intended impacts/long-term outcomes, what indicators are you using to evaluate the project's impact, to what extent have you used institutional/college-level data in your evaluation, to what extent does your evaluation include follow-up data from participants after their direct involvement with your project to determine mid- and long-term results, and more.
