NCSR: Human Impacts

Module Description:

This module is intended to help students understand human impacts on the environment. The module includes four components: One Planet Many People - Atlas of Our Changing Environment, Ecological Footprint Analysis, A description of other sources of remote sensing imagery and methods for evaluating human impacts, and An Introduction to two sources of remote sensing imagery - Google Earth and NASA World Wind.

The 36-page guide provides information about the module and includes six sections: Evaluating Human Impacts - Module Description, One Planet Many People: Atlas of Our Changing Environment, Notes to Instructors, Ecological Footprint Analysis, Additional Sources of Information on Evaluating Human Impacts, and Google Earth and NASA World Wind as Tools for Evaluating Human Impacts. 

The 34-page Word document is a duplicate of the guide. The 27-page PDF is a duplicate of the guide without images. The PowerPoint is provided to facilitate the use of the high altitude imagery included in the module.
