Project SHINE: Agendas, Applications, and Surveys

Project SHINE (Shaping High-quality Integrated Nebraska Education) provides a variety of materials used to plan, host, and evaluate an academic day camp for 9^th and 10^th grade students; this camp was entitled Project SHINE-Mission: Impossible. Included in this zip file are sample agendas, applications, residence hall rules and tips, a camp overview, and sample surveys for campers, educators, and business partners.

Project SHINE focuses on the creation of hands-on, Problem-Based Learning (PBL) professional development activities for use by secondary and college faculty in collaboration with business and industry professionals. Cohort teams of educators work with designated business mentors for at least one year as they develop and adapt replicable STEM PBL teaching resources as a result of their experiences. Almost 5,000 Nebraska middle and high school students participate in Project SHINE's professional development program, which prepares these students to enter high demand technical careers throughout Nebraska.
