Project SHINE Curricula
Project SHINE (Shaping High-quality Integrated Nebraska Education) provides this Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) curriculum for middle school, high school and community college students. Project SHINE focuses on the creation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) professional development activities for use by secondary and college faculty in collaboration with business and industry professionals. Cohort teams of educators work with designated business mentors for at least one year as they develop and adapt replicable STEM PBL teaching resources as a result of their experiences. Almost 5,000 Nebraska middle and high school students participate in Project SHINE's professional development program, which prepares these students to enter high demand technical careers throughout Nebraska.
