About us
The National Center for Next Generation Manufacturing (NCNGM) is funded through a $7.5M National Science Foundation Advanced Technological Education program grant (DUE#2055767). The Connecticut State Colleges & Universities' (CSCU) College of Technology (COT) oversees the NCNGM along with partners from community colleges from across the United States. The Center facilitates an integrated approach to advanced manufacturing technician education that will defines and disseminates the critical knowledge and skills required to support advanced manufacturing technology industries in the U.S. A major focus of the NCNGM is ensuring that the manufacturing workforce needs of Industry 4.0 are being met in advanced manufacturing programs at community college across the United States.
