ATEP Biotechnology Module B Course
Course Description:
In this Biotechnology Module B course, developed by Articulated Technological Education Pathways (ATEP), students use tools and skills introduced in Module A. In this module students will design a bioreactor for producing microbial proteins, describe the parameters that can be altered to affect microbial growth and product formation, and identify methods for detecting the presence of enzymes. The course is divided into ten sections:

- Section 1: Clarifying problems, specifications, and constraints
- Section 2: Research and Investigate
- Section 3: Generate Designs
- Section 4: Choose and Justify the Optimal Solution
- Section 5: Developing a Prototype
- Section 6: Test and Evaluate
- Section 7: Redesigning the Solution
- Section 8: Communicating Your Achievements
- Extended Learning Applications.
