NET-112 Components
Toolkit Description:
This Components course is from the RCNET Comprehensive Teaching Toolkit: Operations, and is drawn from curriculum taught in the Nuclear Systems Technology program at Midlands Technical College, a training program at the Southern Nuclear Company, and a training course from Energy Northwest on analysis of the Fukushima accident. This RCNET Toolkit is organized into three courses: NET-112 Components, Southern AP1000 Training, and Energy Northwest Fukushima Accident Analysis.
Toolkit Course Contents:
Midlands Tech NET-112 Components is a study of basic nuclear power plant components including sensors, detectors, valves, heat exchangers, pumps, demineralizers, ion exchangers, and other related systems.
Materials available as part of the Teaching Toolkit include a syllabus, eight test banks, CAD drawings, and four modules: Pumps; Valves; Detectors; and Filters, Strainers, Stubbers, and Hangers. Modules include quizzes, PowerPoint presentations, lecture notes, and videos.
The six-page syllabus includes a course description, objectives, outcomes, competencies, course and academic requirements, a topic outline, and other course information.
For orientation purposes Syllabus with gap_Nuclear Power Plant Components.pdf is included as a separate attachment and offers a sample of the type of material included in this course.
