A Guide for Mapping Courses to Knowledge Units (KUs)

This resource guide, from Dr. Fred Klappenberger and the National CyberWatch Center, is intended to assist institutions with the application for the National Security Agency's National Centers of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance/ Cyber Defense (IA/CD) program. To be complete this application, information must be collected about the institutions curriculum and translated into Knowlege Units (KUs), or "mandatory topics and associated objectives that must be included in an institution’s degree program." This 49 page guide provides and introduction to mapping KUs, a section on gathering data, a section on data entry, and a section on formal mapping, as well as general application tips.
