NACK Webinar Slides: Electrospinning Polymer Fibers: A Simple Technique of Introducing Nanoscience to Undergraduates
These presentation slides are from the Electrospinning Polymer Fibers: A Simple Technique of Introducing Nanoscience to Undergraduates webinar offered by the Nanotechnology Applications and Career Knowledge (NACK) Center on May 15, 2014. Nicholas J. Pinto, professor in the Department of Physics and Electronics at the University of Puerto Rico, Humacao, presented on electrospinning as an inexpensive method of fabricating polymer fibers in air and within seconds. The experiments discussed combine polymer science, physics, chemistry and electronics, and give students direct experience in fabricating, testing, and analyzing nanoscale devices. Research results and applications were also discussed.
