Nanoparticles: Land to Ocean
This lab, presented by the National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network, introduces students to the intersection between plastics, nanotechnology, and aquatic ecosystems. Students will "model how nanoparticle pollution travels from land to water. This lab is part 1 of a 2-part series of labs designed to help students understand the effect that nanoscale pollutants have on aquatic ecosystems." Included in this lab are: two teaching guides, two student guides, two student guides with answers, and the Next Generation Science standards for this lesson. The lab will take one 55 minute class session to complete.
