Richard Schultz, Academic Director of the Controlled Environment #Agriculture (CEA) Program Santa Fe Community College (SFCC), and Stephen Gomez were awarded $330,357 to expand CEA #education in rural high schools through a remote dual-credit program. The project began in 2023 with a goal of training 18 teachers at 9 high schools, equipping 180 students with CEA coursework leading to college and #workforce opportunities. Hands-on #aquaponics systems, virtual industry connections, and teacher mentorship will create a sustainable pipeline for CEA careers in Northern New Mexico. 🌱🌿
