Metal Corrosion

This four-page guide from Edmonds Community College outlines a laboratory activity demonstrating the results of corrosion. Students observe the corrosion of nails, pennies, and aluminum foil in containers of fresh or salt water over a period of up to two weeks. The activity demonstrates differences in corrosion rates as a result of water salinity and stress in materials.
