This workshop presents an overview of the world of nanotechology. Participants will learn about the growing applications of nanotechnology in many areas and the basics of nanofabrication processes. The three-day workshop is broken down into daily lectures by CNEU staff and lab sessions in nanofabrication in the CNEU teaching cleanroom.
Target audience: Post Secondary and Secondary Science and Technology teachers with an desire to create additional learning opportunities for their students.
Possible topics: Cleanroom safety, Vacuum, Evaporation, Metrology, Lithography, SEM, AFM, Etching, CVD, and ideas on how to implement these into your lessons, courses, and programs.
You will be notified by email whether your application has been approved one week after the workshop application deadline date. Additional workshop details, hotel information, and financial support details will be included in the approval confirmation. US citizens will be eligible for a travel stipend and registration fee waiver.
